Lovein my new laptop.

It has been a busy week @ the cafe. Everyone has been enjoying Jayli's new Cd, and the new Muffaletta. Working on getting Jayli's Cd Cover printed, and printing the Cd's so we can have some to sell. The plan is to have a party for her at the cafe, and release her cd.

The new computer is working great. It will take a while to get all the info transfered over. I am sooo tired. I will try to up load some pics on the weekend.

Every blog needs a reader!

Here is a shout out to my first blog reader...she know who she is!

My new laptop is in the mail!

I had just spent 20 or so mins telling you all about last night, and complaining because I don't have any coffee fixins in the house, when my lap top crashed. Which reminded me Dell sent me an email that they shipped my new one on Friday! It is nothing fancy just a basic computer is all I need. (Although it is Espresso Brown I guess that makes it somewhat fancy.)

Hopefully this post will make it to publishing, because I don't think that i have what it takes to try again today. Ladies Night was fun, although I still don't believe that I bought a 30 dollar tube of mascara! Rita did a bang up job on the food, and Sharla (straight from the earth) brought great coffee for all of us non wine drinkers. Billie was in high demand last night and had all the ladies buzzing about the services she offers. Baby Sophie stole the show as she made her rounds batting her beautiful lashes. I tried to email from my camera to the computer to upload some pics, but technical difficulties are prevailing, Ill try again later.

My coffee woes are about to be solved as Ray is making a run to gather supplies! My Sunday is shaping up to be busy. The Cafe needs some work to be ready to open, cleaning the fridge and what not. Grocery shopping needs to be done. And lets not talk about my house work.....really lets not talk about it!

Jayli and Kyla fly in late tonight. I can not wait to hear all the stories from this adventure and of course listen to the tunes.

I hear Ray pulling in the drive, gotta go......coffee calls

Baby Jude, and Olive Salad

I was excited to go to Gleaners this morning! I have missed the fun of bargain hunting since the restaurant opened, but once every November Gleaners opens on Saturday. I found some pants for Ray and a couple of books for myself. The best find was a pair of pink long john's from Victoria Secret. I got them for Renee, you know with a three year old and a 2 week old baby I knew she was in need of some Victoria Secret! I picked up some baking, coffee, and a chocolate milk for Jackson at the bakery, and headed over to check out the new baby. (and to give Renee the pink long johns.....lol we had a good laugh, and I know she'll be wearing those in the cold months to come) Jude is just cute as a bug, he is so relaxed and happy. Jackson was as entertaining as always, that little boy makes me smile!

I had to go to both Overwaitea and Extra Foods to get all the ingredients for the Olive salad, the base of my new Muffaletta Sandwich. I stopped by the cafe and prepared a couple of gallons to marinate thru the weekend. I emptied out the big fridge to defrost, and cleaned up and before I knew it the afternoon was gone.

Tonight I am going to Pharmasaves ladies night. Mom Candace Leslie Mel and Dena are going, should be a fun time. The theme is One night in New York. Billie will be there to answer question as well as to do some eye lash extensions. There will be draws, food, and drinks. Well I must get ready...beauty calls

Lots Going On

Many things are happening at the Cafe lately, as we gear up for what looks like will be a very busy month of December. Jayli is Currently in Connecticut Recording her very first album (late night relevance) with Signature Sound Studios. She will be back on Sunday, and hopefully production of the Cd will not take to long. We will definitely will be hosting some sort of launch Party to kick off the "release" of the Cd, but in the mean time be sure to drop by the cafe and catch a preview of the Cd playing.

We have a new staff member that Started this week. We welcomed Silver and hope all of our customers have enjoyed her serving them as we have had working with her.

The back Meeting room has been painted, as part of our on going upgrades. Thanks to Tracey because Ray and I have both been to busy to paint. Be sure to take a peek, it is starting to look cozy and inviting back there!

Speaking of painting, James McDowell has changed up the art! His new work is crazy awesome, and the place looks better then ever!

Dini will be back form her vacation mid next week, although we hope she had a great time, we are glad we will be back to being fully staffed again.

I have been really thinking of a new special sandwich for the menu. A real traditional New Orleans style Muffaletta made with great Italian meats and an authentic olive salad, all piled high on a fresh baked in house sourdough round loaf. Of course still working out all the details to get the supplies on a regular basis, as well as getting the sourdough bread perfected will take some time.....but hopefully soon.

Sleep calls....talk to you soon.
